I don’t think I’m alone when I say that in every house there always seems to be that one unfinished wall that could just use a little something. This has definitely been the case for me and I constantly find myself walking past a specific wall in my apartment that is just calling for some creative and modern decor. I would like to share some of the ideas that have stood out to me.
It might seem like a no-brainer but adding a variety of picture frames with one attribute in common can really add a personal touch to your home. For example, having a variety of all white frames but with various patterns can make for a beautiful collage with a modern touch.
It is not very difficult these days to find beautiful artwork to match any specific taste but it might be surprising to know that by adding a large portrait you can actually make a room seem larger. By adding sets of artwork that actually flow into each other can also add some complexity to a room.
It can also be very fulfilling to create your own masterpiece. Art does not follow any strict rules and can take many shapes, therefore you can create anything from portraits of your pet to making large bold strokes or splatters of paint across a canvas to create an eye-catching work of art.
Also known as a vision board, dream boards are a wonderful way to visually translate your dreams for the future and serve as a reminder of what you might be working towards on a daily basis. Dream boards can take many forms and usually include pictures of dream destinations; training schedules to improve physical health; or a dream career. The possibilities are endless!
Paintings are not the only art form that allows you to add a personal touch to your home. Wall decor such as sculpted flowers, woven baskets, or wooden masks can all add texture and beauty to a space.
No matter what you choose to add to your home here at the Apartments at HighPoint, it will allow you to create a space that reflects you and your family, whether it’s a beautiful landscape, abstract art, or pictures of the many people that you love.
