2021 is fast approaching, and it couldn’t get here soon enough! For most people the new year can mark an opportunity to set New Year’s resolutions, or a chance for a fresh start. But before you feel like quitting before you’ve even started, I would like to share this quote from Juansen Dizon –
“I hope you realize that every day is a fresh start for you. That every sunrise is a new chapter in your life waiting to be written.”
This past year might have given us the opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate some of our priorities and the things we take for granted. We would like to share some thoughts on where you can begin reorganizing some of these priorities.
Quantity vs. Quality time
Odds are that with your busy work schedule and possibly having opposite days off from your family, it’s been difficult to find the time to spend time with loved ones. However, this past year you might have been faced with a new challenge where you and your family are constantly together at home and you feel like you’re already spending too much time together. This is where it’s important to remember the difference between quantity and quality time. Quality time requires us to remove all distractions and engage with one another and it far outweighs quantity.
Physical health and fitness
This is often the first New Year’s resolution we think of and also the one we are least likely to maintain. This could in part be to the fact that we either expect instant gratification by our appearance or we push ourselves way past our abilities causing inevitable burn-out. It might be worth starting slow by simply taking a walk or riding your bike around the block or simply setting realistic expectations at the gym. However, if you thrive on having to set time apart and go to the gym as part of your motivation, the Community/Fitness center is a great place for a fresh start.
2020 has been a very difficult year for many but 2021 is a new year full of endless and amazing possibilities. No matter which area in life you choose to strive towards greatness, we wish you all the best in this new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
