Getting Ready For Fall

With the crisp morning air, apple picking in full swing, and the smell of pumpkin spice filling coffee shops, our Fall senses are definitely tingling! With so many holidays to look forward to, filled with delicious meals and tasty desserts, it’s not difficult to understand why we can barely contain our excitement as Fall approaches. With a love for Fall as strong as ours, you can bet that we have a few must-have items and activities on our to-do-list that are being prioritized as we speak!

Bring on the spicy scented candles!

There is pumpkin spice, apple spice, smoky spice, any kind of spice is good and nice to help bring Fall into our home! There is simply no denying the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you walk into a room filled with that sweet and spicy aroma.

Haul out those blankets

Speaking of warm and fuzzy, it is time for you to break out those comfy blankets for the couch. Whether you are a die-hard fan of the Hallmark channel or the spooky Halloween movies, none of it would be complete without a warm blanket to snuggle under.

Apple picking

This is definitely one of our best kept traditions and not only is apple picking a fun way to get some fresh fruit that’s locally grown but it’s also a good way to get ready for baking some delicious desserts! You can also store your abundance of apples for an extended period of time, by placing the apples in a large ziplock bag with a moist paper towel, to help keep them fresh.

Fall decorating!

From beautiful mums by the front door to Fall themed throw pillows on the couch, it’s time to set the scene! Roll out some hay and bring on the pumpkins and gourds.

Get Cooking

Make some delicious chilly and soups, as part of meal prepping and freeze some for later. There’s nothing better than warming up with some hearty soup after a long day!
