In his book The Power of Intention, Wayne Dyer states, “Intention is a force in the universe, and everything and everyone is connected to this invisible force.” Therefore, intention can be seen as an unyielding determination that can propel us forward through tough situations and towards our goals.
Learning to deal with negative thoughts
One of our biggest obstacles can also stem from our own thoughts and can prove more powerful that any external force. Therefore learning to control our own thoughts, rather than allowing them to control us, can be one of the most important steps towards overcoming difficult situations and reaching our goals. Meditation is one of the key components which allows us to take control of our own thoughts before they get out of hand. Meditation allows us to exercise our minds and enables us to center our thoughts rather than letting them pull our mind in a million different directions, which can cause us to feel overwhelmed by various situations.
Have clear goals
By having clear goals and well thought out plans of how to reach them, you are able to identify possible risks and obstacles. This will empower you to come up with possible solutions before allowing the obstacles to have a negative impact on either your goal or your mindset.
Don’t be afraid of failure
Our fear of failure can be our biggest obstacle when facing new challenges. Understanding that practice makes perfect and everything might not be a success after your first try will allow you to have realistic expectations and make it easier to continue pushing forward.
