One thing we look for in an apartment is large closets, as it gives us the opportunity to organize our belongings. However, we also know how easy it is to become overwhelmed with a large amount of space. With an organizational system, a large closet can be a blessing, as it helps you to maintain your active lifestyle. This is why we want to share a few tips on how to organize your closet space.

Categorize Your Wardrobe

It is so much easier to find a certain piece of clothing when you categorize your wardrobe. Your categories may include casual, workout, business, formal and pajamas. Another idea is to categorize them by tank tops, sweaters and dress shirts. Accessories such as belts and scarves should be in the same spot for easier access. The important thing is choosing categories that work for you.

Invest In An Organizer

If there is enough space in your closet, consider a closet organizer with multiple shelves or cubes for storage. You can use the cubes for shoes and sandals, and the shelves can be used for items such as sweatpants, jeans and hoodies. Make the most of your organizer with baskets for your accessories, such as your collection of sunglasses.

Use The Inside Door

The inside of your closet door can also be used to organize your space. Use an over-the-door hanger, or self-adhesive hooks, for your scarves or belts. One idea is to hang a transparent organizer for items such as jewelry, sunglasses or socks. You can even buy one with bigger pockets for your flats, sandals and slippers. This way, you can easily find what you need when getting dressed.

There is so much you can do with a spacious closet, and you do not have to worry about feeling overwhelmed by all the space. All you have to do is come up with an organizational system that works for you.
