Are you sick of looking at the same bathroom day in and day out? It’s not easy to give your bathroom a makeover when living in an apartment, but I’ve found several ways to refresh the vibe without breaking any rules.
Removable Wallpaper
I’ve seen this done by many apartment renters and even homeowners. Instead of painting, they use removable wallpaper to add a color or pattern to their bathroom. You can find wallpaper in patterns such as stripes, floral prints, mosaic tile or subway tile. Of course, you may decide to use a solid-colored wallpaper instead of a pattern. The best part is how easy it is to remove the wallpaper if you want to change up the design.
Paint The Furniture
There’s a way to add a coat of paint to your bathroom without actually painting the interior. Invest in a piece of furniture that could help you stay organized, such as a small table or chest with drawers. Paint the furniture in a color that fits your interior. You’ve just customized a piece of furniture for your bathroom, and you can take it with you if you move. Remember to paint it outside so you don’t drip paint in the apartment.
Create A Display
Store your bath beads and decorative soaps in glass, acrylic or apothecary jars to create an attractive display. You can place the jars on the window sill, table or shelf in your bathroom. Pair your jars with a scented candle or fresh flowers to add a touch of elegance. If you want to create another display, use a self-adhesive hook and hanging wine rack for your rolled towels.
Personally, I like the idea of painting the furniture because it’s more hands-on, but any of these ideas could be a good DIY project when you’re ready to freshen up your bathroom.
