Three Homemade Cleaners For Your Green Lifestyle

If you’re like many others, you’re starting to live that green lifestyle. One way I like to do my part in living green is to make my own cleaners with common household products, such as baking soda, vinegar and lemon. I want to share three homemade cleaners for your green lifestyle.

Cleaner For Bathroom Counters

There are natural cleaners for different aspects of your bathroom, but this recipe is for your bathroom counters. You can make your own bathroom counter cleaning solution with 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda and your preferred amount of lemon juice. You want to mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake it up.

All-Purpose Kitchen Cleaner

For this recipe, you’re going to make an all-purpose kitchen cleaner. The ingredients include 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of vinegar. You’re going to mix the ingredients in a spray bottle, let it sit for about a minute and then fill it with warm water. Give it a good shake before letting it sit for several more minutes, and then you can use it to clean your kitchen.

Living Room Carpet Cleaner

Finally, here’s a recipe for cleaning the carpet in your living room. You’re going to mix 1/3 cup of borax, 1/4 cup of salt and 1/4 cup of vinegar to create a paste. You want to vacuum your carpet before applying the paste into the heavy stains. Once you do apply the paste to your carpet, give it several hours to dry. Then, vacuum it up and use a steam cleaner on the carpet.

When you create your own cleaners, you don’t have to worry about spending a lot of money or cleaning with chemicals.
