Time To Prepare The Apartment For Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I love inviting a few people over to celebrate the holiday. Of course, you know as well as I do that hosting a dinner party means preparing your apartment for the occasion. If you’re planning to entertain guests, I want to help reduce your stress, so here are several tips for preparing your apartment for Thanksgiving.

Make Room For Groceries

If you’re planning to buy a lot of groceries, you’re going to need room for them. It’s time to go through your refrigerator, freezer and pantry. You need to throw out anything that has expired, as well as leftovers you haven’t touched in days. The good news is you may find items that work for your Thanksgiving dinner.

Clean Your Apartment

Of course, you also need to clean your apartment before your guests arrive. Start with the living room, kitchen and bathroom, as these are the rooms that are going to be open to your guests. Finish it off with some fresh flowers or scented candles to add a welcoming vibe. If you don’t have a lot of time to clean your apartment, you can always close off the bedrooms to your guests.

Plenty of Seating Arrangements

Last, but certainly not least, you need to make sure there’s plenty of seating for your guests. If you’re only inviting several people over for dinner, there should be enough room on your couch, but it never hurts to borrow or purchase a few folding chairs. You can use the chairs in both your living room and around your table. This way, everyone is enjoying Thanksgiving dinner together.

It may seem tough to host Thanksgiving in an apartment, but that’s not the case in the HighPoint Town Square community, as the apartments are spacious and comfortable.
