Saving Money Around The Apartment

If you’re anything like me, you look for ways to save money. We all have bills to pay, so why not save as many pennies as we can? I found some pretty cool tips for saving money around the apartment.

Plan Your Meals

Saving money on food is easier when you plan your meals. You can avoid spending money on something that’s already in your refrigerator or pantry. When you stick to your plan, you’re not spending money on items you don’t need. Another benefit is you don’t find yourself ordering take out, which adds up after a while.

Start A Garden

The money you save by growing your own mint, basil, chives and other herbs does add up over time. You can also start a small garden for strawberries, microgreens and habanero peppers. These items can be grown inside your apartment throughout the year, and they’re small enough to grow on your patio, balcony or window sill.

Cut The Cord

If cable or satellite is becoming too expensive, consider cutting the cord. There are plenty of devices and streaming boxes that allow you to download apps such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. Make sure the monthly costs are not as expensive as your cable bill. You can also download apps that allow you to watch movies and shows for free.

Do you have any methods for saving money around your apartment? Apartment-living doesn’t have to be stressful, you just need to know a few tips and tricks!
