Happy Hour Fox River Float & Blues

Join Howling Wolfe Canoe & Kayak every Wednesday for an after work float and live blues music! This quick, kayak adventure is perfect for nature and music lovers alike! This guided tour down the Fox River is ideal for beginners looking to de-stress from a long day and enjoy an evening of live music. You’ll find yourself in close contact with local Kane County wildlife, such as bald eagles, osprey, deer, beaver, muskrat, great blue heron, egret, kingfisher, and many more.
The tour ends with tasty grub from RKN TCO Food Supply Co. where they will be serving up some tasty food while you enjoy the soulful sounds of blues music, provided by the Fabulous Kings. Local musicians are encouraged to join the jam, so bring your instruments to play after the float. Enjoying the music is not exclusive to the kayak trip. You are more than welcome to meet at the Aurora Athletic Club for free blues. Support the club by purchasing a drink and bringing your friends! The tour begins and ends at the Aurora Athletic Club 550 Clearwater Drive Aurora, where participants will park their cars and be shuttled up to Island Park in North Aurora.

Wine Off The Fox

The Village of Oswego has put a philanthropic spin on its newest event, Wine OFF the Fox, a benefit concert at Venue 1012, on Saturday, Oct. 22. In addition to wine tasting, two girl bands will perform at the inaugural event. Wine OFF the Fox was planned to help support local and national breast cancer organizations. Wine OFF the Fox opens with a VIP reception from 1 to 2 p.m. featuring an exclusive wine tasting and a female soloist before the event is open to all ticket holders at 2 p.m. More than 15 selections from regional wineries, seasonal craft beer from Oswego Brewing Co., a signature cocktail and non-alcoholic options will be available until 7 p.m. A variety of local food options will also be offered. Jersey Girls, a popular band known for their high energy harmonies on original and cover music, will headline the event. Their repertoire includes contemporary hits and classic favorites. Decked out in sequins and armed with powerful voices, this Chicago trio has performed across the country and was voted favorite girl group of the Midwest. Serendipity, an all-girl band from the Chicago suburbs, will open the event with a dynamic variety of ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s covers, as well as pop hits.
