New Things To Try Over The Holiday Season

I recently made a post about trying new things, and I wanted to explore that topic a little further. The holiday season is coming up, and I was thinking, this is the perfect time to try a new activity. It allows you to end the year having done something you may not have done in the past. I’ve put together a small list of things to try over the holiday season.

Volunteer Work

There’s nothing like a little volunteer work to get into the holiday spirit. You can volunteer at a food bank or homeless shelter to give back to the community. If you’re looking for a way to show companionship, spend some time at a senior community or an animal shelter. Another idea is to check out the volunteer gift-wrapping services in a nearby mall.

Cooking Class

If you’re planning to host a holiday dinner, consider learning a new recipe with a cooking class. You can find a wide range of cooking classes, from cooking different types of meat to baking pastries and treats. One idea is to take a class with your friends as a way to celebrate the holidays together. After your class, you can test out your skills in your HighPoint kitchen.

Dance Class

Are you planning to attend a holiday or New Year’s Eve party? You may want to brush up on your dance moves. Whether you want to learn swing or slow dancing, there are studios that offer a variety of dance classes. It’s going to be a blast showing off your dance moves to your friends at the party, and you may even decide to take a dance class together.

When you’re finished with your new activity, reward yourself by relaxing in your HighPoint Town Square apartment, and consider sharing your experience in the comments below.
